I've been a loyal customer since they opened. I loved them. Always fair, honest and my personal rep was great. They ALWAYS paid immediately. Never an issue. I liked them so much, I referred them business. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

Until recently I’d never had a problem. Then, two weeks ago I had a little "miscommunication" with a placed wager. It was a second half wager; I placed a bet on the Warriors and it turned up in the computer as an "under". I called, we listened to the tape and the book thought it could have gone either way (I disagreed, but that doesn’t matter does it?). They removed the bet and I didn't get a win. Whatever, first problem in 6 years. <o:p></o:p>

The Friday I tried to make a bet on Cal (Pac 10 Tourney) against <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place w:st="on"><st1:State w:st="on">Oregon</st1:State></st1:place>. I wanted the money line for a large bet. Large. The teller couldn’t understand me. Fearing a repeat of the episode, I didn't make the bet. They won. <o:p></o:p>

Cut to this Friday. I call to make a bet and the exact same thing happens. Guy can't figure it out. After a couple minutes, I ask for a manager, cuz this guy isn't getting it done. BY the time i get the MGR on the phone the game has tipped off. They won't let me make the bet. <o:p></o:p>

I blew up, three times in 15 or so days I've gotten screwed one way or another. Needless to say, I told them to close my acct. <o:p></o:p>

The point to all this: I have accts with Pinny, Bodog and BetMill, but BetTropics was my fav. Because of unapologetic management they are off my radar. Which sucks cuz my rep was the greatest. <o:p></o:p>

mr. L.L. you do not warn customers away from a book with made up stories......you and i had a discussion about your golden state second half wager on the 1st of this month and even though you agreed to the readback i cancelled your wager and informed you all readbacks are final in the future......pac 10 game where you claim to have wanted to wager on the cal moneyline, the clerk understood you just fine, you even asked when she quoted you -180 if it had just gone up from -175, she said well the line is in black which usually means it has moved since your last call, you mumbled something and hung up, never asking for a wager......and finally, the claim that the clerk couldn't understand you is a complete lie, you called and asked immediately to speak to a superviser.....from the note in your account it appears you were trying to wager on a game 4 minutes into the 1st half......perhaps your other books will let you do this....

Lori, please don't attack my character. I heavily praised your service to friends, family and on this forum. If you refuse to address issues loyal customers (don't say this is the first time you heard I was having this problem) have with your business that's your business, but the THERX exists to allow people to share info and experiences with foreign companies regarding a mutual hobby. (Note to RX Staff: Hope that last sentence is accurate) <o:p></o:p>

I'd gotten two or three calls from my rep, that (as I've said) has been great. Before I posted this he tried to get someone there to fix it. Of course, with the prevailing attitude at BetTropics, that didn't seem likely to me. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

Seems like a misunderstanding to me that could have been worked out off the forums. I don't know the player but I do know the Bettropics representative and there is nobody better in the industry. You can take her word to the bank and that's the truth! Please, call her again and I'm sure this will all be worked out! :toast: P.S. Readbacks final? I wish!

In today's world I am surprised people still call in bets. I would rather see it on my screen then to have to rely on a recording. I understand limits are different online versus by phone, but it seems there is a much easier way which would reduce having to go back and review the tapes.

No question. The flashpoint of the conflict was ESL. Then it became a 'management attitude issue' after I brought it to BetT's attention. Had there ever been a "Really sorry, having some issues with personnel, hang in there we'll get it handled." Dont mean to chime in late here...but the book has some nerve to come here and call you a liar on a public forum w/ out trying to call and patch things up. I have never used bettropic or whatever they are called but from reading this thread I would never post up w/ them...thanks for the info

What is a personal rep and what do they have to do with this? I am not saying anybody is right or wrong here yet, but I know there's always three sides to every story, at least.

I agree that there are two sides to every story. Which is why I addressed (in detail) earlier in the thread.
