Arizona really looked good to me, it was no wonder they destroyed Wisconsin, they looked like several past Arizona/Lute Olsen teams.

They had a pretty bad season (for them) but looked like they were peaking at the right time, just so happened they were stuck playing perhaps the eventual NCAA Champions in Villanova.

Tubby Smith had Kentucky ready to play , they also played one hell of a game against a UCONN team that came out with fire in their eyes, after the Albany game.

Kentucky and Arizona, two teams that had really poor seasons for them , both came to the dance ready to Tango...both games could have been Final Four games, they were very entertaining .

Kentucky and Arizona - both played very well and could have beaten their favored opponents yesterday!

Pacific. I have watched them a few times this year and didn't think they were as good as past years. Texas A&M too. Honorable mention goes out to Albany. All they did was out-rebound and out-hustle UConn. Just ran out of gas.

One team that won this weekend that looked great was Memphis. For a #1 seed, they pretty much dominated all weekend. Looked the best of the big favs.

These teams may or may not make it pass their next opponent, but I thought the following teams played very good ball.

West Virginia
UCLA
Bradley
Memphis
George Mason
Boston College

Honestly, the next round looks exceptionally good if you are a fan of college hoops. The remaining top seeds better be ready with their best this coming weekend.

Oops! Read the title of the thread Ted.

The losers:

Texas A&m
Bucknell

Counting teams that won, i was most impressed with George Mason, this is no fluke, they flat out outplayed North Carolina, UNC's weakness was veteran ball handlers and George Mason exploited this all game long.

One of these two teams GM or Wich St will be one upset away from the Final Four.

Remember back many years now the Shockers, i believe had a player named 'Cheese' something or other, they won a couple games and were one game away from the final four....Cheese Johnson or something...this was like 25 years ago.

Ted, I think we are in for a great week of ball.

This is the best Sweet 16 that I can remember in quite awhile. No weaklings in here. In each game, quality opposition.

Ted, absolutely. Never seen a 16 with no spreads over 10.

I've been staring at the numbers since they opened and they are as tough as I expect the games to be.

Agree. No fluke with George Mason. They spotted UNC an early 16-2 lead, or something like that, and clamped down the defense and handled the Tar Heels going away.

Connecticut is good but overhyped in my opinion and not playing top level ball. Wouldn't surprise me to see them go down this weekend.

BRADLEY BRAVES!
They took it to both Kansas and Pitt, and were flat out the better team in both games. I hope O'Bryant stays around for another two years, cause he has a chance to be a lottery pick. I love the way this team is playing, and they are close to my heart, since my beloved Illini choked.
