Why did the books open up Wichita St. -1?

I see now it's Mason, -2. Openers came out Shockers as 1 point faves, I decided to go the other way and start Patriots -1 figuring history as well as home town advantage would swing money in on GMU.

CRIS opened Mason -1 and then moved to PK. PK was across the board last night.

at cris and pinnacle, george mason opened up as 1 point favorites. From what i saw, early money came in on Wichita and now people are buying george mason back up.

I know Witchita State has been impressive, but the way George Mason has played so well as a team has to be the story of this tourney so far....

The reason the game opened -1 is beacuse they can move from that position easy,as the game is NOT going to fall in a tie. As it turns out they should have opened the other side -1.

that was my point. Not that it is a big move from -1 to +1, but it was still the wrong side.
I was referring to the brick and mortar books, not the offshore ones as far as the openers. At the time, the line was coming out I wasn't concentrating on what the offshores were coming out as, as much as the ones down the street.

Well the game figures to be a Great match-up and the makers had to make one or the other a slighht favorite to open with. Its a Tuffie to pick that is for sure. Either one can win thats for sure! -1 to +1 can only side yourself if it falls 1, as i am sure you know, certainly not like being middled!

I gotta lean towards Mason in this one. I watched the entire first meeting between these two at Wichita, and Mason was the better team on that day. Hands down. And they have a homecourt advantage, although I'm not sure how much that will come into play.
