My daughter is 10 and loves a lot of different kinds of music. But she and a lot of her classmates are really into this band.

AC/DC

I cant say I blame them...

Their into their late 70's and early 80's stuff . The last few albums with Bon Scott and the first few with Brian Johnson.

That was some good stuff...

if i had kids i'd much rather they be into AC/DC than some freak like Marilyn Manson or some wanna-be thugs like all the rappers and hip-hop stars nowadays

rock and roll ain't noise pollution!

Not a huge Bono guy-but saw them with Rage back in the day, and they were pretty good.

I had their cd that came out in the 90's-can't remember the name.
The fly and lemon and some others were very underrated songs.

I hated Zooropa. Pop was okay. I love every other album, though. They experimented with that weird shit, and I didn't care for it. Back to their original sound, now. Joshua Tree is the best, I think.

Zooropa was the name of that U2 cd. Please don't compare ac/dc to depeche mode. I like both bands alot and the reasons I like each are VERY different. Its a total apples and oranges deal.

great frontman ..

if you were a teenager in the mid 70's to 1984 or so , you were in the minority if you didnt like AC/DC.

back in black sold 16 million copies.

possibly the best hard rock album of all time. highway to hell was no slouch either .

girls got rhythem
touch to much
shoot to thrill
night prowler

those songs still sound good .

My cousin (8 or 9 yr old girl) asked for some AC/DC for christmas...I loaded her up on classic rock. She got several times the amount of CDs that the cousin that asked for Kelly Clarkson got, lol.

This is great news. This is a sign that todays young crowd is rejecting the crap that the mucic labels are producing these days and thats a good thing.

Growing up in the 80s I had not interest in the beatles. I was too busy listening to AC/DC and Kiss.

We are in the worst era of top 40 music in the history of America right now if you dont count country music.

Worked at a summer camp last summer and some of the 10 year old girls had ACDC shirts on and a lot of the boys had Iron Maiden t-shirts on and grew their hair very long. I was so intrigued i had to ask them why? They told me they just flat out like the music. They said it is better than today's $hit and i totally agreed. The one dudes Fear of the Dark t-shirt blew me away. I am personally more into Queensryche for pure American hard rock and metal but i had to give these kids respect!
