Good or bad?

Not necessarily luck perse, but a shop you couldn't seem to win OR lose at that now is just the opposite?

pinny used to be lose lose lose

now I dont know who you can lose there. so many positive plus money line plays that bounce up near off times to balance action. better than most exchanges. I get an average of +103 there on coin flip games.

plus loose props that you can keep hitting at 2 minute intervals.

Yes I would say when I began betting at bodog close to 10 years ago--previosly grand prix sports and the bigbook, I lost as I would bet FAV's and was pretty square. The majority of my plays now are on DOGS and unders especially there, and I've been beating them consistantly as of late and getting back money I lost 10 years ago on fav's.

When I started at 5 Dimes, I couldn't lose a bet there. Made withdrawal after withdrawal. This year, I gave them back quite a bit during football season. I'm not superstitious, I just know that this game has hot and cold streaks. They probably thought I was quite the sharp during basketball last year, and then they were probably laughing at me when football came around.

Question: Do books pay attention to your picks, if you bet 100-200 a play? I mean, when I kept winning, did they notice? Just curious.

They don't notice small plays like that. I was shooting the shit with a guy at Betonsports about 6 months ago who worked in the wagering dept. I was asking him "so what is a big bet there? " He said there are gys who call in bets for 25k on a frequent basis. I was surprised, however, how few of people they had in the wagering dept. Less than 20 i think. I always pictured hundreds of people answering the phone, but thats not the case. I have a much better winning% at Pinnacle than at Betonsports, but i think that has a lot to do with finding this forum. :suomi:

i don't remember if i posted this last year when it happened or not...

i took advantage of that great promo 5Dimes ran last fall where if you deposit $775, they give you, s***, i don't even remember, but all kinds of bonuses and Bonus Plays and a 3-team and a 4-team parlay that paid HUGE odds...

well, i went on an unbelievable college football tear that first week or two and hit EVERYTHING....including both the 3-teamer AND 4-teamer! i couldn't freaking believe it!

hell, the 2 parlays alone gave me about $1,900 in free money!!!

over the course of probably 2 weeks, i ran that $775 to $6,421 (i know the exact amount cause i just checked my spreadsheet:) and cashed out every penny (well, they made me keep the original $775 in my account for 30 days, then i cashed that out too)

i had been in a rough losing streak before that point and those couple weeks at 5dimes "turned" it around for me at my other books as well, i went on a month-long tear (at every book i had just about) after that.

of course i put "turned" in parenthesis cause i don't believe in "luck" obviously. it was just a coincidence. it's just fun to joke about though.

5Dimes gets my thumbs up, they paid and never said a word! they're a great book.

Im up lifetime at the following:
Pinnacle- up the most at this place, more than any other
Betcris
Thegreek
ESB (If they would pay me what they owe me. Almost 6,000 for more than 3 years.
Matchbook- way up but I have never made a withdrawl yet so I guess this one does not count.

Books that I cant win with.

Skybook- They would have to give me a ton of free coffee to make up for the money I have lost there. Its so bad that I almost refuse to play there anymore

Hollywood- They are up pretty good on me lifetime.

WWTS- about 5 deposits and 0 withdrawls. Will not play there anymore.

Trojan- Not much luck there but look forward to giving them a try during baseball.

Offshore, probably not.

In Vegas, I can tell you I played and moved the number to FACES many times of those I respected.........no matter the amount they wagered.

Much less overall volume in a Vegas sportsbook compared to the top 20+ BIG BOYS offshore.

I beat BOS, Betjam and WSEX like tom-toms.

I call CRIS, Olympic and Pinny the "black holes"---money in, never comes out.

Out of the 5 books i use I've gone on a good run in 4 of them right after I opened the account.

Since then i'll give and take. Depends.

Overall i collected the most from Olympic.

Donated the most to Pinny.
