(Blues guitar intro)
weeeee na na wee na na weeeeee
weeeee na na wee na na weeeeee
weeeee na na wee na na wee na wee na weee
do do dooooooo

well I woke up this morning
`bout a quarter to four
sat down at my computer
to check out some scores

put my head in my hands
then I slowly cried
I couldn't pick this many @#$*ing
losers if I tried!

(Chorus)
now I got the blues
I got the handicappin' blues
it's just one of those days
where you lose or you lose

grasping for a bail-out
that I can't afford
so I took Duke -16
and got backdoored

had the Mets game won
`til they blew the save
my dogs won't bark
and my faves won't fave

(Chorus)

(Guitar Solo)

I had one play
that was still alive
it was a moneyline dog
that just lost by .5!

now I got no money
wife won't give me no sex
looks like I'm spending the rest of tonight
here on the Rx!

(Chorus)

log in: El Iguana
join in on the blog
Railbird killed in men's tennis
so did Omnivorous Frog

now I have a new plan
to try to save some face
open a new account at the Greek
and just tail ACE ACE

(Chorus)

Capper's Blues Continued

so I got to thinkin'
I'd be better off dead
then I got a note
from OldmanTed

he said, "son, I advise you
into this, to delve
just follow Insiders picks
in the Bix XII"

(Chorus)

Journeyman says "hang in there"
he's always real nice
and Horseshoe is old enough to remember
songs from Miami Vice!

now I've got a feeling
that I just can't lose
I'm waiting for Godfather Wilhelm to make me
"an offer I can't refuse!"

(Chorus)

Very good and humorous . . . One question though. .

How did this happen?

I had one play
that was still alive
it was a moneyline dog
that just lost by .5!

Great point, Kruser! It rhymed and made sense in my head as I pounded the keyboard, but you are correct. I've just lost so damn many games by the hook, I had to throw that in the song somewhere. Thanks for keeping me honest!

Great song. Wonder who we need to actually sing it?
I vote for coldweather to sing the song with his singing voice because he be singing good today. In addition, his underwear is tight today, so this will help him hit the high notes and loom large as he sings the song.
