I thought of this today while listening to up all night ESPN radio when a caller suggested he would change the NFL OT rule to the first team to 6pts. Which I thought was great. That way a team could play safe & go for FG or the win with a TD. Also allows the team who gives up the cheap FG off a bad pass interference call the opportunity to march downfield and score a TD.

My personal change would be the NBA I would implement a 4 point line from half court. Adds a little more fun.

Of course owners would have to approve the change in real life.

Not that there's a commissioner for CBB, but I'd move the 3-point line back for college...it's just too easy. Make it international at least.

MLB Commish

Immediately institute replay on all home run calls & fair or foul balls.

Not on balls or strikes and safe or out.

If I was NFL commissioner, I would ban the 2-pt conversion. How many games have I lost over the years holding +4.5 or -2.5 that were turned into LOSERS because some idiot goes for 2 pts? THATS WHAT OVERTIME IS FOR IN THE NFL. The 2-pt conversion is just one more random variable that diminishes the impact of handicapping. My winning percentage was probably 5% higher in the days before the 2 pt coversion was added. Back then, the numbers 3 and 7 MATTERED.

If I were NCAA foots commissioner, I would do away with the idiotic overtime rules. THATS WHAT THE 2-PT COVERSION IS FOR. How many unders or small dogs have I lost in college OT over the years? There is no worse feeling in the world having an under 39 and +5 in college foots, and it gets tied 17-17 and end of regulation.

The two pointer is definitely not a popular gambler rule, I don't think...it always leaves that 'oh great they could go for two' possibility..

I also like the TD in OT rule , or even better the first to 6 points, that is an outstanding idea.

especially considering football is one and done ;no series

so a bullshit FG could end a season without a team(offense&defense)having a say

This is soooooooooooooo easy!

Would make a point everyday to make a push to offer pari-mutual wagering(or some better wagering options for all involved) on my sport.

I would test weekly for pot.

Hopefully this would make the crapola NBA disolve.
