Appears that there is something wrong with Jenks, and not just that he is overweight.

He has lost 10mph on his fastball. All of the excuse making about strikes and location is not the problem. He was throwing 100 plus last year. He cannot hit that this spring.

The entire Sox bullpen has been terrible and is the reason why they cannot win a game right now. They had a similiar record last spring...but now with Hermanson's back a mess and Jenks looking like this...closing games might be an issue in April.

Hey fellas, yah Jenks did have an injury if I'm not mistaken and they've been talking about how he's "slowly getting his velocity back" in camp. If he can't throw his full heat he is very hittable. I've have actually heard some whispers that Ozzie is considering using Cotts as a closer if Jenks can't get back to form. Only thing that really concerns Ozzie is IF he uses Cotts as a closer, he'll lose one of his BP setup guys (only other reliable arm he'll have in the BP would be Politte as McCarthy has struggled this ST, Hermanson is hurt, Hideo Nomo is not an option lol, and all those young guys have been very inconsistent). The one young guy that intrigues me is that Logan kid. He's looked pretty good at times.

chuck, thome's actually been hitting very well so far in ST. One small tidbit about him is he has not hit a HR yet in ST. True, I was pissed when they traded Rowand, but I understand that knowing they were letting Everett and Thomas go, they needed a power bat. If we didn't have Brian Anderson waiting in the wings, no way in hell we would've pulled the trigger.

Good news for us White Sox fans is that Thome has started to rake baby! I think he's got like 4 home runs now over the past few games. GO JIMMY!

Cotts had a chance to close the game yesterday, and failed to do so.

Jenks supposedly gets two innings today against Arizona...

I will be tuned in to see how he looks...very interested in what the gun reads this afternoon...

guys, rowand fukin stinks. he is a slow center fielder who doesnt cover nearly as much ground as the other cf's throughout the league, and he couldnt hit a fukin beach ball, the kid strikes out left and right. personally if i was the phillies i woulda traded him back to the whitesox or i would be beggin the padres to take him for linebrink which was the deal on the table in the spring. he is a subpar OF at best.

but since im a mets fan i hope they keep him its great watching him strike out LOL FUKIN philly dopes.
