should win around $1500 between brackets and a future... i invested 55$ into them at this point. Does anyone think that it would be wise to play a moneyline bet on West Virginia? My thinking is that if Texas should win, in their next game they could a: Be an underdog vs. Duke and the duke moneyline would pay out worse compared to W. Virginia moneyline... or b: be a favorite over Lsu of which case i would take the lsu moneyline....
i also realize that the sweet 16 is a little early to hedge but i am thinking if i don't now my return could be worse later.
Any Opinions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm cheering for ya ;)

Texas looked bad against WVU in their last meeting, but I agree that it's too early to hedge.

thanks much for the input guys... and you are right the real test is these upcoming road games. they looked alright over the weekend but shootin jumpers on the slab in you backyard is not quite the same as guarding gansey and pittsnogle. it will be an enjoyable 4 nights watchin games no matter what...

now do i hedge... lsu will probably around +190... i realized also that i am in 3rd on betjam rx contest... so i am looking at 50$ investment to win around 1700 if texas wins it all... i almost have to take lsu moneyline at least to get my 50$ back don't I...

The main question is this, do you really need the $50 dollars back??? NO reason to hedge at this point

that is true... no i don't really need the 55$ dollars back... but why lose it if i don't have to? me being the idiot that i am could have had west virginia +11 at half... bet w.v and then ben even and let it ride out from there... instead i just let it ride... i think lsu poses an interesting matchup very even teams in my opinion.

If Texas does the triple, the Big Ten might even consider granting you a spot in their conference.

actually it would be 2

you CAN'T count football since the NCAA DOES NOT recognize a D1 football title since it is NOT decided via a playoff - EVERY SINGLE D1 football "national championship" is MYTHICAL

am i "nitpicking" here - yeah - probably - but check the NCAA records and you WON'T see USC or Notre Dame or Alabama or Oklahoma or...(you get the point) listed with ANY football titles because in the NCAA's eyes NONE of these schools has EVER won a D1 footbal title

Sorry bro, but we were declared as National Champions which is good enough in my book.

NOT by the NCAA you weren't!

when a school wins a NCAA title they get that plaque. NO ONE has EVER gotten a plaque from the NCAA for winning the D1 title - because the NCAA DOES NOT recognize D1 football as a sport with a championship

Come on man, Texas won the National title no matter how you slice. Who gives a flying fuck if the NCAA reconizes it or not. Bottem line UT 2006 FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS.

I HEAR what you are saying about the NCAA football system. If they were to declare a National Champion, it would be Texas. So does that mean the chant last year of USC's 3peet was invalid?

partly right - i am busting them - but the fact is the D1 football championship is NOT recognized by the NCAA. go look up a list of NCAA championships by each school - and if you pick, say, Notre Dame you will NOT see football listed
