I usually use mine on a big ML dog, usually with a EV of around 70% or so. I notice BOS does not allow ML with your freeplay. I have read that you can get the same amount of EV using it on a parlay.

Does anyone care to share this method?

On underdogs????

ABSOLUTELY one can use it on a favorite ML........but that is not a wise thing to do.

Surely you're mistaken. I was told parlays and straight wagers only.

Fish, that doesn't get the full value of the Bonus Play betting a favorite.

Do you know how you would be a parlay with a FP?

Precisely, no value in wagering ML favorites with a FP!

The parlay system will give you more +EV with your FP with shops not allowing ML dogs. However, personally never bother with it, although should.

DOUGJ uses it quite frequently and he will come around shortly to give you a more qualified version probably than one that I would present since he uses this method often compared to not at all with me.

Fish, how do you use a FP like this then? That is, one that does not allow ML dogs to be bet?

BOS is about the only place I can think of off hand where I play regularly that doesnt allow ML dogs freeplays............just wager an EVEN ML is all and move on is what I do.

No biggie because as I mentioned, this is one of the few shops that I frequent with bonuses that doesnt allow ML dogs on freeplays.

Who else doesnt?

Lukily, the majority of shops offer CASH bonuses anyway.

Like Fishead said I use freeplays on ML Dogs that are at least +200. I then will bet the ML fav on the same game at another book and hope the ML fav wins. The freeplay then becomes cash at the other book.

If you do a search you will find a coulpe of threads that have all the info you want.

Very simple math using your example.

Say one receives a 20% FREEPLAY where ML dogs are allowed.

Say your FP is worth $100(20% on a $500 deposit).

Bet the $100 FP on a +200 dog so essentially now you are risking 0 to win $200.

Bet the favorite at a rival book at say -190 and risk somewheres close to half of the $200 you stand to win on the dog, give or take a few bucks either way in what one feels confortable with........in our case, lets make it say $133 to win $70.

SUMMARY

DOG risking 0 to win 200.......net win of $67
FAV risking 133 to win 70......net win of $70

In the above scenario, one has in theory turned their 20% FREEPLAY into a 14% CASH BONUS ($70 profit on a $500 deposit).

BOS-
I believe BOS will only allow a 3 team max parlay and NO FUTURE bets either.

I wanted a measley 25 dollar future on Pitt at like 6-1 when we were down to 4 teams and BOS would not take it as a Bonus Play, as I had a buddy buy in for 250 to bet a prop there. You also have to call the bet in, it took me 5 phone calls to finally get a bet that they would accept at BOS with their freeplay policy, LOL.

It gets me sometimes when books advertise 25% bonuses etc. with no mention of a freeplay anywhere in the offer. Then AFTER i even buy in I find out it's a Bonus Play, that sucks because it's not really a 25% bonus as explained here. <!-- / message -->

I like using them on longshot futures type stuff that have some value. To win NCAA tourney, to win World Series, NBA Finals, that sort of thing. Yesterday played Washington 40-1 NCAA Tourney.

Yes, and more so for the less experienced players that are unlike us and the majority here at TheRX.

Should be PLAINLY stated......simply a marketing tool that is used by way to many shops.

POSTERS--Always be aware or ask if the bonus presented to you is a CASH, FREEPLAY, MATCHPLAY, or other.

I generally use my Bonus Play as follows.

Say you get 1K for a 5K deposit, 20%.

+300 1000/3000
-320 2285/715

Here you are keeping 71% of the bonus, which equals about a 15% cash.

Again, if anyone can explain the parlay method, that would be helpful.

You can play up to a 4 teamer at BOS
