The PGA tour has been going on for what...70 years? About 30-40 tournaments per year and you want me to check all 2100-2800 tournaments? Yeah, I'll get right on that. But in the meantime, I'm gonna guess that this has happened before. It's just too easy to shoot a 67 one day and an 83 the next....everyone who golfs is aware of that phenomenon, except in my case it's a 87 one day and a 103 the next!

im only going by the very knowledgeable and capable announcers on the espn telecast that said that this was the first time it has happened. i hope im safe to assume they may know more than you do regarding the situation.

ESPN just said it happened to Brian somebody in 2004...

Linda Cohn said, the last time it happened, which means it has happened before that also

Sorry, my mistake ... I knew it was a Major:

CARNOUSTIE, Scotland (AP) - From first to finished.

Rodney Pampling's fortunes in the British Open on Friday turned quicker than the gusts at Carnoustie. The former Australian greenskeeper startled the British Open by taking the first-round lead with a par 71. He proceeded to shoot a second round of 15-over 86, making him the first player to lead and then miss the cut in the Open.

I was thinking about Mike Donald...

he led the Masters one year shooting 64 the 1st rd and cranked it up to like 80 or so the 2nd rd ... I remember it was the biggest diffc in Masters history between the 1st and 2nd rds

Love became the first player in the 33-year history of the PGA Tour's showcase event to go from a leading to leaving, missing the cut by four shots ....

The last player who went from the top of the leaderboard to a weekend off was Brian Kortan (65-79) in the 2004 U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee. Others were Trevor Immelman in the 2003 Bay Hill Invitational, and Kirk Triplett in the 2001 Nissan Open.

Golf!

Golf is a strange sport, I hav played it for many years and if you are not playing and hitting balls everyday you can always get on one of those bad runs. For a PGA tour player like DLoveIII to do it is not normal. He has really fallen down from where he has been. I have had the chance to play with Mr. Love at the course I used to work at in Atlanta, he was a great person and I have a lot of respect for him, But wow today was crazy. How about our good old friend David Duval he blows now..........
