Baseball capping question

Seems like people do a lot of unnecessary work in handicapping baseball. When 2 teams play 3 games the only thing that changes is the starting pitchers. So isnt capping whip enough to swing the bet from one team to the other. Sounds simplistic but lets have team a play team b both one their last game and both are even against each other. So isnt whip the only differance for game 1 and thus game 2 and 3. I realize it seems simplistic but isnt everything else the same and known. After the first few weeks most data dosent move much to b.a. slug % etc etc are fairly static. What am I missing here? thanks

That's not true.

If the Orioles are facing the Yankees and the Orioles start a lefty after a righty, do you think the Yanks put out the same line up?
