OK I'm 53, kids are grown up and not an issue, Wife does her thing, I do a bit of cooking, post on the Fanny Craddock Forum, have a drink and bet. It really doesnt make a difference to my life whether I win or lose 2000 in a Day but because of my bookmaking background I hate being a mug and never want to make a soft bet.
So, its now 9.00pm Ive made an easy £98 on events up to now, had a drink, cooked a wonderful meal and all is happy with the world. What now, sit back and watch TV, go to bed, read a really interesting book, talk to the Wife, you see my point. Well I will just have to put those old declining bookmaking skills to work on US racing and in-running Basketball, getting worse as the drinks go down and the prices go up, life's great isnt it :thumbsup2:
PS: Just a thought, my Mum died recently and I thought about if I was to go, all my neat little betting tricks would go to waste. So I got both my Daughters around and ran through my files with them. Considering both are at college doing Science Degrees I must admit to being disappointed at the clueless faces, obviously betting is an Art many cannot understand.:drink:
