Ever lose a game this year, in their conference or against the foes they play?

Amazing that they would lose twice in 2 weeks to Hofstra, a team that couldnt win their nit game on their home court....

Its amazing how well they are playing now, on the biggest stage of all....

This might be one of the "all time" cinderella stories....

LSU in 1986 was the first #11 seed to ever make the Final Four, taking down the Region's 1,2, and 3 seeds in doing so(GT, Purdue, Ky)..

But LSU had an All-American in John Williams back then..Mason despite beating fewer top talent and high ranked seeds is every bit the same Cinderella.

Because the CAA is one of, if not the, most underrated conference in CBB. And now, thanks to Mason, it'll be a 2-bid league for the next 10 years and beyond...it's a team full of talent and good coaches. And now the rest of the world knows.

Raj youre right on point. The funny thing is that ODU was the preseason favs and they finish 4th. I'm not going to hold my breath saying that CAA will be a 2 bid league. It would be nice to see it.

You're right about how funny that is...ODU was far and away the most talented team in the league this year.

I really think the CAA will start to get two bids now...UNCW should've won their opening round game had it not been for a monumental collapse, and obviously we know what GMU is doing. The CAA has churned out quality teams for years, but just now are finally getting their due. Hopefully the committee will start to recognize it and give them the respect they deserve with two bids. It's a BRUTAL conference, unlike the WCC, so for a team to go undefeated is damned near impossible. There are just too many quality teams.

It won't guarantee anything. Just a few years ago Kent St just missed the Final 4 (losing to Indiana). MAC never really benefitted from it and I don't think the CAA is overall any better than the MAC.
