Hard to believe this guy is an NBA coach........seems like just last month he was angry on the court as a MSU player.

I read things around here and feel the same way, it can't be 20 years since he was that annoying SOB shooter, taking MSU on his back at the NCAA's all the way to the Final Four.

I think being a diehard sports fan, makes you more aware of how fast time goes by, sports are the timeline of our lives, similar to music.

Oh by the way, MLB manager Frank Robinson is going to be 72 this year!

Wasn't Skiles jailed during that summer for marijuana, before he played in the NBA?

I believe he did a couple months in the clink.

did you know Skiles is the single game assist leader in the NBA. I think he got 30 or 31 one time. I saw him get his ass kicked in a bar in Orlando. He was cheating on his wife with the guy's girlfriend who whipped him.

what a bunch of sour grapes......scott skiles has done an excellent job this season with an undersized team that lost 2 starters just prior to the start of the season (arguably their best offensive and best defensive players). Despite their lack of bigs and talent they have stayed in the playoff hunt and been competitive in most of their games......... The Bulls rank FIRST in the NBA in defensive shooting percentage and 11th in defensive effeciency......stats indicative of good coaching not bad..........The guy has done a helluva job this year working around the teams physical limitations

he was the toast of the town last year.

nobody is really blaming him from what i hear on the radio but, you never know in this town. however if dusty baker can keep his job, you have to think skiles is safe.

Doesn't hurt that Skiles has a bunch of kids on his team that barely resemble a basketball team. What he did last year was remarkable, and the fact that they're even competing for a playoff spot is just as remarkable in my eyes.

Give Skiles a real team with real pieces and that team would soar. Last year's team had no business in the playoffs, let alone snag a 4 seed.

Skiles' nickname has always been "nitty gritty", which reflects the way he plays and coaches

Skiles job is safe. Not his fault that the bulls can't score inside and you never know what Chandler is going to give you on a nightly basis. This year the bulls took a step back when robbing the Knicks in the Curry deal so Skills is safe for this year but with two high draft picks plus a high priced free agent coming in next year is the make or break year for Skiles in Chicago.

No kidding the only thing i give Isiah credit for is that the man drafts very well. His track record is almost 100% and what does he do, trades away two future high draft picks.

You gotta take into account where he drafted these players at. But Trevor Ariza in the second round was a good pick, David Lee with the last pick of the first round a good pick and his toronto days he went 3 for 3 in drafting Damon Stoudemire 7th (instead of Ed Obannon and Shawn Respert) Marcus Camby 2nd overall in 1996 (toronto should of has first pick and AI in that draft since they won the lottery however expansion rules stated toronto and vancouver could only go as high as 2nd) and in 1997 his last year in toronto he drafted Tracy McGrady 9th instead of Danny Fortson.
