Is this my idea or is this really happening?

Ive noticed there are several cappers here at the Rx that have been on fire for months now, hitting and unbelievable rates, oldugys like action and NY Reb, newer guys like Ace Ace and Jam something or another.

No one can really blame folks for tailing along on their plays, of course with caution but who could blame em for following.

My question is not regarding them but regarding other posters that are appearing out of nowhere and posting picks and it seems like there are plenty of people that are following them daily. U click on their thread, it shows the picks and then people chiming in with "yeah that looks good" "great picks" "im on them tonight" etc etc...

It seems like this has been going on now for weeks. Am I crazy or is this really going on?

You're not crazy...I've noticed a ton of new posters posting plays and gaining a big following right off the bat. Gynocologist, SUPERHUNK, and Big Boss Man come to mind.

Maybe the both of us are just crazy, though, and everyone else is sane. I know for sure that I'm retarded. Good stuff.

I think part of is that some people just want to show some support for the new guys, make them feel welcome at least so they chime in on their threads to keep it alive

Its really happening. But one has to wonder about that at the same time. You know there are Ghosts around up in here!

Just to quell any The Rx. is filled with ghosts paranoia - I do check IPs of all newbies and identify ghosts immediately. Any type of "ghosting" results in post review. Natrually some use more devious means to disguise IPs and those are tougher to identify.

Generally speaking most of the newbies here are legitimate posters who just want to be part of the process. I know some of you will say that can't happen - they have to be ghosts but it is simply not the case. Do cappers have friends in the real world that sign up to say "how to go"? Sure they do -- what can we do about that -- not much.. This forum is PUBLIC - people register and want to post just like the veteran posters here. We all have to have a first post at one time or another, a how to go post is a layup for inexperienced posters and a good way to start.

ghosts or not, all i know is people on these boards should have cleaned up in college hoops this year. there were some monsters that went on huge runs.

i just noticed two more things...

one, everyone seems to have a "system" which they are unveiling on a nightly basis...

two, one posters "opinion" influences a bunch others that come in with oh well if u like it, then that means im putting the bet in.
