Without question I see this line moving against me by gametime.

This game will be an easy scalp for those into scalping.

Good Luck!! I am board this year.

Also, quick question... I am assuming 1 unit for you = $100, correct? So this would be a 2 unit play for you?

Thanks!!

Quick money management question, a unit should be how much of your bankroll???

also, IMO it should not be 1 % of your total bankroll.

100 or so units should be put aside for any particular system/season.

I usually divide my bankroll by 4, and than i have 4 betting blocks to play with. however, at any given time, i am only using 2 of those. (nhl and nba system duirng year, 2 other baseball systems during mlb)

So say you had a 8000 starting bankroll. divide that by 4, then you have 2000.

2000 x 1 percent is 20 per game. I am not sure if ay other cappers here do it like this, but this is how i learned money management, and it works well for me.

A very safe, conservative way. In fact you are betting 1/4 of a %
of total bankroll per game, or 1/4 of a unit. So on Choptalk's 2 unit
play above you'ld bet 1/2 of a unit {1/2 of one percent of your
overall bankroll}.

Choptalk I have a ackward question for you.

I notice alot of people playing bases on a moneyline system.

My local book only does it by ATS games. Giving/laying points etc.

Is there a way to convert a ML play into a ATS play?..

Like for example, you're at -123, how would this look like if I were playing ATS...would chicago be giving a point, giving two points etc?

They are usually 1 run or 1.5 runs and a -123 would likely be around +105 on a run line. Truthfully, you should find a better book. Most offer both. Their capping is based on ML plays and would be different if using run lines. For instance, the White Sox last year won something like 30 1 run games, you would have lost all of them whereas Chop would win.

Do you mean the runline? Chicago -1.5 +183

The value of the 1.5 changes for many different reasons.
Hometeam or roadteam favored
The total of the game plays a big role.
If the total is 8 or less it will be worth alot more than if the total is 10 or more. You get the idea.

Here is a moneyline vs runline conversion calculator that you can use to convert a moneyline to a runline. I dont agree with this calculator 100% because it does not take all of the variables into consideration. But at least its a start and will get you going in the right direction.

http://www.drbobsports.com/baseball/baseball.cfm?p=7
Just type in the moneyline and it will convert the moneyline into what they call a fair runline.

If I were you I would find another book. If you are going to following my plays just because I like Chicago on the moneyline does not mean I also like them on the runline. I rarely play runlines.

Here's what you should get, approximately, on various ATS numbers
playing the White Sox on Sunday night:

-1 +126

-1.5 +183

-2 +257

-2.5 +299

Since you cannot get the ML {= pk}, the closest thing to that
of those listed above would be the -1 +126.

Thanks everyone for explaining it more clearly, I don't know squat about sports. I just know that I have to be faithful to a capper because i've been following them on their losing days and jumping to other cappers on their losing days and so forth.

i'm trying to make some green :D so pinnacle here I come.
