I am proud to announce my 3rd straight opening day for the Phillies in their new park. They are 1-1 at "The Bank" losing the inaugrial to the Reds in a cold rainy bashing...and a win last year against the Nats in the Nats first ever Pro game. This year we open against the Cards and this just might be a sign of things to come as these two could possiblly be seeing one another in the National League Championship!!!

Anyway, thats all just my personal opinion. What I am really wondering is who is going to opening day at your home town and is any lucky bastard out there going to the game on Sunday night!!

For what's it worth I'll be at the D-Ray home opener 04/10. The new owners have supposedly put in $10 mil in renovations at Tropicana Field. Has to be better, lol. They've also dropped food prices, instituted free parking, tailgating, are allowing fans to bring food/drinks, and have gone above and beyond the call in accessability, all in order to heal the wounds from the previous ownership. Words can't describe the dislike of the previous owner throughout the community. The product on the field was enough to endure. But having to endure the poor treatment on top of that, turned almost everyone away. I could go on and on on specifics, but my hands would get tired, lol.

I'm excited for the season to start. Too bad they open up with 6 on the road. The team played well down the stretch last season, and have a solid offense, with a good mix of power and speed. Pitching is very young and thin. No closer, no solid middle relief, imo, at least at this point. But I love our offense. Anyway, this team should be competitive and entertaining. That coupled with the efforts of the new regime will tell if baseball will work here. I'm thinking it will.

I was out at the park last night...AT&T park in San francisco....I wouls they would stick to 1 name....(but it's all about the $$$)

I am a proud (1st time) owner of Sec 141 row 9 seat 20 (bleechers) this season. The Giants made a few changes around the stadium as well. Brand new plasma tv's surrounding the interior of the consession area. They wanted to make it so that if a fan was to get up to get something to eat/drink they wouldn't miss a thing. Although last night the picture wasn't super clear, I would have to imagine they will have the tv's up and running with HiDef as soon as the season starts. It was a nice added touch. I thought it made At&t park look more hitech and professional. They also got 2 new video displays replacing old single light scoreboards from before, another very nice upgrade from what we had before.

I am pretty sure for their home opener next thursday they will have the 2nd year pitcher Matt Cain out on the hill. I hope he gets his game together as his last few springs starts have been terrible. If Barry can stay healthy for 100 games with alou batting next to him....NL west better watch out!!

I cannot wait for this season to get going....Go GIANTS!!

April 10th at Comerica Park, Detroit, to see the new-look Tigers against the world champion White Sox. Hopefully Leland will bring an "attitude" to the "Motor City Kitties" for once!! Great Stadium, great atmosphere, great fun. First time ever to an opening day.

I've been an ANAHEIM Angels season ticket holder for almost a decade.....but I am NOT going to opening day this year....even though it's against the hated Yankees.

Our new "owner" is such a piece of crap horse's ass that I am finding it really tough to get behind my own team.

And I can't give up my season seats. Years of pre championship loyalty have given me a seat location I don't wanna lose,

So these tickets are mostly an investment for me until the dark days of Artie Moron are over in Anaheim.......which by the way....is NOT Los Angeles.

I have been at opening day for the past 9 seasons tho'

This is funny for what reason? It wouldn't hurt to back up your antics with some commentary:icon_conf

I could go to the Sox/Clev game Sunday night but I am a Cub fan and wouldn't give my buddies that are Sox fans the satisfaction.

Phillies were .5 of a game away from the wild card last year. Phillies have just as good a chance as anyone to come out of the East. Guess thats why they play the games, but thanks for your valuable input!! To count a team out, that has tons of talent, before the season has even started yet is moronic.

I'll give you a hint: the reason is NOT because of the Cardinals.

Sounds good man...I'll be in Richmond for most of the summer, but will be driving up for a ton of games this summer. Nothing like taking in a ballgame on a cool Summer night. Let us know, and have fun at your opener.
