Was gonna happen sooner or later...Wolfpack fans have FINALLY run off a very good coach. Spoiled brats for fans just ran off one of better coaches in CBB. I for one am glad he's gone. He'll make ASU a winner in no-time with his offense. I hope the Wolfpack suffer for years to come...

I liked Herb and supported keeping him, but I hate disloyal coaches and so if he wants to leave then fine, get the F outta here

Disloyal? Wolfpack fans are absolutely responsible for this...they ran him outta town despite his success. Very few programs have been as consistently good over the past 5 years than NC ST, but he got none of the credit. He deserved much better treatment than he got. This has nothing to do with being disloyal...if anyone, it was the FANS who were disloyal to him.

It goes both ways but when you are in a position such as Head Coach in a major conference in college basketball, why do you give a shit what some whiny fans think?

If he loved NC State and his team he would stay. Bottom line

Tough to love a university that doesn't love you back no matter how successful you are there. Bottom line.

Maybe Herb needs to learn not to read the message boards and he wouldn't feel "unloved." Lots of people have been calling for his head, unjustifiably.

I personally will use every excuse in the book for a college head coach in football or basketball NOT to be fired. I will back them no matter what. But for a coach to accept another offer from a school while he still has a job I think is very lame.

NCSU went 1-5 against the other big 3 ACC schools. 0-2 against WFU when it mattered most. Frustrating being a State fan.

If Sendek can't take the heat then don't take the job in the first place!!! Bottom line

Sweet 16 runs aren't frustrating, are they? I applaud you for being loyal to a great coach, but you're in the minority of NC St fans, and that's the truth.

Is it too much to ask/expect your fan base to be supportive and appreciative when you put a winning product out there year after year?

Can you imagine if Maryland fans were anything like NC St fans? Gary Williams would've been crucified already after the past two years. Thank goodness they're not...before his title run and Final Four the year before, he never got past the Sweet 16. Thankfully those fans didn't treat him as poorly as NC St fans treated Herb.

I agree with SkinsRaj28
NC St fans need to realize that they are at best the fourth best program in the ACC. Yes they have a couple of National championships but lets be real. They are always going to be behind UNC, Duke, and Maryland. I look at this as a lateral move but don't blame him one bit for leaving.

NSCU is a top 10 college basketball program all time

NOT a lateral move

off topic:
PJ Tucker, Big 12 Player of the Year this year, is from Raleigh, NC. NC State didn't even offer this guy a scholarship.

If that fucking Jack Morris mercenary Barnes comes back to the ACC, I can't wait for the rude welcome he gets in his first trip back to Littlejohn. Although I have to say I'm happier with Purnell.

JameSon Curry had more than just academic problems, Sutton took a ch ance on him, any of the NC schools would kill to have him now

I don't see the point, OK is in another part of the country, Jameson could NOT play ball in NC after that happened. People would never let him live it down. He had already committed to UNC and if they hadn't pulled his scholarship they would just look like another low class program like OSU.

NC State has to be one of the worse jobs out there. Always in the shadow of UNC and Duke, its really a no win situation. Herb Sendek has done an admirable job there, but all I have been hearing about for the last few years is that hes in trouble. NC State deserves a bum like Rick Barnes to take them into the bottom half of the ACC. I agree with Skins, NC ST just got rid of a very good coach. ASU is the winner here.

there was no point, thats why i said off topic.
OSU is not a low-class program either, don't know wehre that's coming from, if you're referring to Sutton's fallout, he handled that extremely well.
