My crazy Brother in Law from Norman Oklahoma just told me that the womens basketball coach Sherri Cole, is in the running for the Mens coaching position left by Kelvin Sampson to go to Indiana. Has there ever been a woman in that position?

I don't know, but there was a Michigan high school team in the Basketball finals last week that had a female head coach. Mt Pleasant Sacred Heart (Class D).

Not in Division l I dont belive wasnt Pat Summit name mention a few times a few years ago.

Two yrs ago at one of the small schools in Tenn.

Female coached the second half of the season on interim basis.

Think it was Tenn Tech....not sure though

the lockerroom pregame peptalk/speech would get quite interesting if a woman was head coach of a men's team

I am almost positive that there was a woman who coached a mens team at a small D1 school. Just not sure of her name.
