Day Two...Play Two

Frisco kids @ Diego in 15 minutes. Respect Peavy to the max. Why did he pitch only two times this spring? 9 ip and 5 er. I know spring stats are meaningless, for the most part, BUT what am I missing. On the other hand a renewed and rejuvenated Schmidt went 24 ip with a 1.50 era. Everybody knows how berry, berry good Barry is in San Diego. Thus

Giants +119 one unit

YTD 1-0 + 2.0 units

Seattle and Los Anaheim in 10 minutes. Washburn will try to exact a bit of revenge and "I told you so" against Disneylanders. Washburn better than advertised and the friendly confines of Safeco should only enhance his success in '06. Thus:

Seattle -107 one unit

YTD 2-1 +3 units

Twinkies and Toronto at 7:00 pm est. Carlos Silva one of the best, most unknown commodities in the league. Should have Jays eating out of his pocket in their 1st ever appearance against him. Chacin had his moments as a rookie, but see Minnesota's blue collars tallying versus his unorthodox style. Thus:

Minnesota +119 1/2 unit

YTD Record: 3-2 +3.42 units

As one poster stated earlier, week one of this 26 mile marathon almost in the books. Played very selectively, while observing opening week's slate. Tonight in the windy city, I expect some action in the way of runs. Ponson versus Marshall doesn't exactly conjure up memories of Koufax and Gibson. It will be cold, as usual in Wrigley's April contests. Nevertheless, will count one some major league bats getting it done at 8:00 pm. Thus:

Cubs-Cardinals over 9 (bought .5 run) -127 one unit

YTD Record 3-3 +2.92 units

AL West rivals in Los Angeles 'er Anaheim tonight. Texas native Lackey usually pitches well against homies. Angels coming off Yankees series win, might have a little less adrenaline flow on this Monday evening. Loe is a solid young pitcher for Rangers first roadie of 2006. Neither team hitting the cover off the cowhide, to this point. LAA= 12 runs in past 4 games and Tex tallied 13 runs in sale time frame. Will lean to Rangers and their lineup with pitchers being somewhat of a split pot. Thus:

Texas +135 1/2 unit

YTD Record: 4-3 +3.92 units

Chick's you know I love you. If Texas wins, then it's over 8.5 runs. I hope you're right as I am on no side, but I will take the OVER. Good luck. tulsa

BOL on your over. Actually just put the play in at +137. I'm treading lightly at this point. Spending more time on poker and trying to figure that out for the WSOP in July.

I gamble for a living. What you are going into actually makes me sick to my stomache and I don't have anything to do with it!!! You are the, THE man! I will have nausea for you and so you let that go and do the very best you can!! You gotta promise to tell your story on the Rx FIRST after you win it ALL! Good luck! tulsa

Thanks, I appreciate it. I can't really elaborate, but I have competed at some very high levels in my life. The WSOP is an opportunity for a semi-skilled poker player like me. I know, from past experience, anything can and does happen. I have three more months to prepare. Will have a bit of a following there, to celebrate or put out the flames.

Toronto trys to prove it belongs at the top of the hour. That motivation alone, with a solid young lefty on the hill, is enough for me. In addition, the Blue Jay hitters have drilled David Wells, as a rule. Look for Chacin to keep Bosox off balance. He gave up 3 ER's a year ago in 6.7 ip in his only career start versus Boston. Thus:

Toronto + 120 one unit

YTD Record: 4-4 +3.42 units

Very late post...but I like the BUSH, but not in Busch Stadium. Brewers vs Cardinals in a few minutes. Brew Crew has solid history against Marquis and St. Louie not clicking on all cylinders yet, IMO. David Bush first career outing versus vaunted Birdie attack, may surprise. Thus:

Milwaukee +134 1/2 unit

Will roll the dice for Wednesday night finales. Again, I like road teams with up & coming pitchers. Parlay'in for a possible semi-good night. No complicated systems or massive details...just a KISS gut call play. Thus:

Texas-Koronka & Colorado-Francis parlay 1/2 unit for 2.54 units

Blue Jays & Bosox again at the top of the hour. This looks like a potential batting practice session. Toronto has owned Clement and Boston owns Lilly. Certainly anything can happen, but the wind blowing out just adds to the value. Thus:

Red Sox-Toronto over 9.5 (bought .5 run) -121 one unit

YTD Record: 5-6 +3.62 units

Going for the hat trick tonight on Red Sox games and I don't even live there. Had Chacon on Wed and the over on Thursday. Moyer has traditionally been lights out at home and lit up on the road. Boston has had great success versus this Seattle thumber in the past. 3rd night in a row for Beantowners facing a lefty. (Chacin & Lilly). Expect a residual carryover tonight. Schilling looks like the ace of old with a 1.93 era and less than 1.00 whip. Curt has always been the man to stop a losing streak, throughout his career. Sox wakeup on Good Friday at a steep price. Thus:

Redsox -1.5 +106 1/2 unit

YTD Record: 6-6 + 4.42 units
