I have a small local cable company (Armstrong - the only cable option in this area). I try to order the MLB package last week and they tell me it is not available yet and to call back Monday morning. SO I call today and it is still not available because "We weren't sure if we were going to be able to broadcast Indians games and we are still negotiating with MLB". I pressed her about it but she didn;t know what was goin on. What a bunch of crap. Opening day and the service is not available. They expect me to pay full price for a partial season if (when?) it is available? I emailed customer support to see what the deal is. What is the number to Directv? :Sad Face:

Poker King, have you checked out MLB TV?? $14.95 a month or $79.95 for the whole season, you can watched all the games (except local blackout) on your computer.

I know a lot of people prefer to watch games on their TV, but you can get the first month for 14.95 just to tie you over til your problem is resolved with your local cable company or until you get a dish

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

They have a special $20.00 off this week on the full season. Its a must have for those that would rather wath the game on TV rather than their computer....JMO

If you need help let me know and I can explain.

I have had the MLB.com TV before and it was great but I make my living playing online poker so my PC is usually being used for that. Like to be able to watch a game on the TV while I play.

Armstrong cable never has the free previews for some reason. Comcast always had the first week free for each sports package but Armstrong is a total mickey mouse operation. When HBO had their free national preview a few weeks ago, Armstrong only offered their HBO On Demand free. You couldn't access the actual HBO channels. You can't even add a service such as HBO on the weekends as they are closed. I don't know what their deal is but they are a big step down from Comcast. Still no reply to my emails I sent.

Still no replay from customer sevice. When you change it to the extra innings channels I just get a black screen so no preview. What a joke

I ordered mine through Comcast about a week and a half ago, when it finally became available to the InDemand networks through digital cable. Wahoo!!!!!!!!!! I've had MLB.TV for a long time, but I wanted to actually use my TV this year, I sit at my desk enough as it is. Today was great! Even though it was free preview week, 5 games going at once, wahoo!!

Comcast was also nice and split my payment up into for installments! Play ball!!

Sounds like MLB.TV has rotten customer service. Ive got a friend who's been without access since the season started(5 emails unanswered and couple of calls hung up after an hour each). Finally I guess she got through and cancelled the service, only after waiting another hour on hold.

This was the MLB Extra Innings package through cable. the MLB.TV is the watch games on your PC deal. Have had no problems with the extra innings package since not being able to view opening day. Well worth the money especially for those afternoon and late night west coast games.
