Koskie is not playing this afternoon....
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Haudricourt reports Milwaukee Brewers 3B Corey Koskie won't be in the team's opening-day lineup Monday, April 3, against Pittsburgh Pirates left-handed SP Oliver Perez. Koskie, a left-hander, will sit while the team starts right-handed hitting infielder Bill Hall. Koskie had a huge spring, batting .356 with five home runs and 15 RBIs. His home run and RBI totals were both team highs. However, Brewers manager Ned Yost isn't calling the situation at third base a platoon. "The hardest thing I have to do is find Billy Hall at-bats," said Yost. "Koskie is by no means a platoon player. Neither is Billy Hall. I've got to find ways to get all of the infielders at-bats, especially early."
