Koskie is not playing this afternoon....

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Haudricourt reports Milwaukee Brewers 3B Corey Koskie won't be in the team's opening-day lineup Monday, April 3, against Pittsburgh Pirates left-handed SP Oliver Perez. Koskie, a left-hander, will sit while the team starts right-handed hitting infielder Bill Hall. Koskie had a huge spring, batting .356 with five home runs and 15 RBIs. His home run and RBI totals were both team highs. However, Brewers manager Ned Yost isn't calling the situation at third base a platoon. "The hardest thing I have to do is find Billy Hall at-bats," said Yost. "Koskie is by no means a platoon player. Neither is Billy Hall. I've got to find ways to get all of the infielders at-bats, especially early."

Oliver Perez could be comeback player of the year. He looked excellent his last spring outing when he mowed down the Bosox regulars - shutting them out over 7 and striking out 7-8. His fastball/slider combo is deadly when he can throw strikes.

Wind blowing out to right center at 25 MPH. Give me the over.

Last fall I was tailgatting and the wind was blowing out about 25, so I called in a play on the over. The game went over (luckily) but the wind really didn't play that much factor. The walls are really high at Miller Park and it sheilds alot of wind. Don't let this affect your bet tho. The beauty of weather plays is even when it's really not a factor you may win 50% of them with luck.

Not saying the over is a bad play, but there is absolutely no way that stadium is open today. Wind will NOT be a factor.
