Just played online poker for the first time in several months and I got rivered about 7 times in the past 30 minutes where I had the winner pre-river (other players where hitting inside straight card and etc.). I normally shrug it off but damn I never got it like that before. Anybody had this happen to them before?

Many times..........one reason why poker is a GRIND.

What did you do after it happened? Continue to take more punishment or call it a day? All it did is remind me of why I don't play online any more.

Have found it best for me personally to get away from poker when running bad and collect my thoughts to avoid chasing.

they call them "land mines" and as long as you play on line you will no doubt run into them.....:smoking:

Stay away from online poker. This will empty your pockets in a hurry.

I guess one of the things that bothers me is getting rivered over and over in 30 min really makes one wonder of the "randomness" of the game. That is what made me say enough is enough. I am interested to see what Pinnacle rolls out though but outside of that or playing in an occasional tourney, the grind is not for me. GL fellas

Where has the supposition that Pinnacle is bringing a poker room out coming from? Perhaps I'm in the dark here.

it goes in streaks..you will rail people 7 times in a row also ...your just on a down cycle for cards...take a few days break

this is a dangerous time as you will be tempted to CHASE all your losses

fight it man BEAT the system do not be a victim of it

I was quite shocked myself. It was part of winnings from a contest on a different website.

definitely streaky

i play live tourneys at the hard rock every other day. usually pull about 1K out of there. but when i go and i lose my first two sit n go's, terrible cards or bad beats, i leave..i just know its not my day, and it works, and has saved me a ton of money i would have potentially lost back.
