YTD: (2-1, +0.88 units)

Yesterday: (2-0, +2.00 units). Detroit and San Diego were both winners. Was expecting solid pitching from both, and got it.

Tuesday:

2* LA Angels (-112) Lackey
1* LA Angels -1.5 (+150) Lackey
1* Toronto Blue Jays (-123) Halladay

Good Luck...

Just some baseball humor in honor of opening day. I knew a good baseball mind like yourself would appreciate the Thon. I'll be mixing it up quite a bit, maybe some Willie Mcgee, Mackey Sasser and Biff Pokaroba in the future.

Thanks for the wishes, mi amigo. Same to you.

You better believe Willie McGee will get some playing time, he's on deck. Rusty Kuntz is in the hole. Pardon the expression. :suomi: Steve Trout will make a guest appearance throwing bullpens with aviators and no hat. Love that card.

Von Heezy? He's a player. He was sweet.

Like the Angels today. Think Lackey will have a nice year, Pineiro for Seattle is a #3 or 4 at best.

Halladay will also have a real good year. Blue Jays have a nice lineup. Johan doesn't pitch as well on the road, but this is a play fading predominantly changeup pitchers early in the season. Hitters bat speed and triggers get faster as the year progresses. Thats when chageups are more likely to fool a hitter. A lot of guys have that slider bat speed right now, and I think they knock Johan around today.

Just the thoughts of THON. Thon Happens.

Good luck to all...

2* San Francisco Giants (-126) Morris
1* San Francisco Giants -1.5 (+131) Morris

Estes is a .500 pitcher who traditionally struggles against the G-Men. Bonds and the Giants should have a nice game after getting that first game off their backs with the Barry-saga. Morris has faired well vs. the Pads over the years. San Diego has been an under park, and I think they blew their wad for runs yesterday. San Fran evens the series in game 2.

Good Luck...

1* Houston Astros -1.5 (-103) Pettitte

Kicking myself for not betting the Stros/Marlins under last night. Marlins field a very young lineup, and some career minor leaguers in Houston facing a Major League ACE vs. an Astros offense that struggles to plate runs and Dontrelle? Ugh. Similiar situation tonight. After facing Oswalt last night, the young Marlins get a look at another legit Major League pitcher Andy Pettite. Pettitte will provide a different style from Oswalt, the lefty will throw big breaking balls and they should have a tough time again tonight in Houston. Marlins start Mitre who comes over from the Cubs. Gave up 5 runs over 5 innings in his final spring training start. Sports a 6.12 career ERA, and this is a tough one for him, probably getting little run support and facing the defending National League Champs at their yard. Astros should be able to extend a good lead here despite their poor hitting last night.
