That with two seconds left in a quarter or half, a player won't throw the ball up from half court because he doesn't want to hurt his FG percentage. They wait for the horn to sound, then they chuck it.

Peterson for Toronto, in a one point game, just now purposly waited till the buzzer sounded and then threw up a half court shot. Of course he hit it. :finger: :finger:

I know what you're saying but your example in Peterson is flat out incorrect. This guy is notorious for hitting buzzer beaters throughout his time in Toronto. He always is the one to chuck up prayers against the shot clock and game clock.

I'm saying its unlikely he did it on purpose.

Trust me, he did.

With two seconds left, you turn around and shoot. You don't dribble 4 times and then chuck.

Perhaps he didn't know how much time was on the clock, who knows. I've watched Mo Pete in hundreds of games and trust me he's thrown up more then his fair share of hail mary's. Plus there's really no reason for him to care greatly about his fg%, he's not in a contract year and nobody is reading his stats on a terrible team.

You're killing me. It was off an imbounds pass before the end of the third quarter!!!!! How could he not know how much time was left??

If you saw the play, you would agree.

I'll never believe it, NEVER! Not Mo Pete, it just can't be. How dare you drag Mo Pete's name through the mud. :youmad:

Oh come on you are telling me a foul with two seconds left in a 6 point game when your holding a +6.5 ticket isn't more annoying

Best player on the team next to Bosh of course. Not a real tough guy but the only guy that plays any semblance of defense for this sorry bunch. Rest of the team is super soft and a bunch of geeks.

I trust Colangelo is a good NBA mind and will immediately fire Mitchell after this season. Team is a complete joke. They need to bring in a real coach and some real men this off season to lead these softies.
