I had the Pirates on the +1.5 runline tonight and while trailing 7-5, the Bucs had runners on 1st and 3rd and 0 out. The batter hit a hard ground ball at Prince Fielder which he bobbled, and Fielder barely had time to pick up the ball and get to the bag just in time to tag out the batter as he dove into first. Meanwhile, Joe Randa just stood motionless on 3rd the whole time and failed to score, and 2 outs later the game ended 7-5.

The Brewers announcers berated Randa for just standing there instead of taking off with the pitch, but then they declared "Randa's run is pretty meaningless anyway," and for the next few minutes, every time they mentioned Randa failing to score and still being on 3rd, they said "But that run doesn't mean much anyway." Yeah right, tell that to my losing runline bet!

Oops, I misspelled "Brent" in the subject and can't edit it, well at least I got Musburger right.

Where is Brent when you need him?

"Oh my Randa with a big blunder not scoring on that play - that would have been a very important run to a lot of people".
