WHO THE HELL BRINGS IN SCOTT PROCTOR IN A CLUTH SITUATION. Joe Torre must have had money on the A's. I could do a better job than Scott Proctor. Keep Kyle Farnsworth in or bring in Tayon Sturtz. How about the best closer in the game ? Im no major league manager but I have no idea what Scott Proctor was doing in a game where if he gives up a run his team loses. Really was that a joke ? Scott Proctor ? Common now. I didn't have any money on the yankees but I'm an upset yankees fan.

Farnsworth tends to break down after one inning, and it's the 2nd game of the season...you don't want to wear your ace closer out in April!

I'm pretty confident that Joe Torre did not have money on the A's - actually, I can say with mathematical certainty that he did not - just because the Yanks won by 15 last night does not mean they are going to sweep a good Oakland team.

So your saying they basically just wanted to keep MO sharp for later in the season and didn't care whether they won or lost ? That is pretty much what they did when they decided to put Proctor in. Really anyone but Proctor, he should be in the the minor leagues.

I'm not saying the Yankees should have won but im saying how stupid Joe Torre was to put Scott Proctor in the ball game when he had Farnsworth who he could have kept in, Tanyon Sturtz and Mo. I have never seen Proctor come through for the yankees. I could see if he was the only pitcher left in the bullpen but he had much better options. I knew as soon as I saw him come in the game was over.

I agree. I also knew the game was over and I did bet the Yanks. Sometimes games like that is what can cost you at the end of the year. Amazing how 1 game means something in Sept. It probley will not cost the Yankees but it cost me!

BetitAll-- Get real.. I am so sick and tired of hearing these games are fixed. A manager has 25 players on a roster for a reason. They are going to be used at some point or another for a reason. I am not saying that Proctor is the best pitcher to choose there, but they do play 162 games a season. It's a long season and the Yankees do have a very old baseball team. Please quit saying this shit is fixed...

Good luck,

Oakland is arguably the best team in the AL

The 2 best teams in the AL are both in the ALWEST and they have a 3rd team thats not too shabby either.

Heck, even Seattle is respectable. By far the best division in baseball. The east has nothing to the west.

Soco.. Bet It All is one of the biggest whiners I've ever seen on this forum.. I would wager that he's not even old enough to wager and that he's using his parents name or something.

Just about every game that he loses, he claims is "fixed". He was ranting in the NBA forum the other week. It's as if this is the first time he ever gambled on sports.

#1 you NEVER bring in a closer on the road when tied in the 9th. At home you can to give your team a shot to win in the btm. of the 9th. you need to know babesball before screaming,LOL.
