how many times have you seen it, small missed opportunities, that in the back of your mind you dread b/c you know they could come back to haunt you?
A missed front end of a 1-in-1
a poorly executed sac. bunt, fly, etc.

just crossed my mind while following this Detroit-KC game on sportsline.
Detroit already staked to a 3-0 lead, Shelton up with 1 out, men on first and third. Proceeds to ground into a double play.

SEEMINGLY inconsequential, but I already have the small fear in the back of my mind that this blown chance at another run could cost the Tigers a W later (and cost a W in my sportsbook acct.).

Maybe i just need to stop paying attention to the games and wait for final scores...will decrease stress.

Thats why i go to sleep early and when i wake up i pick up the beeper and cover 1 side and squeeze the other side of the score in and bingo either a winner or loser, beats the hell out of watching this stuff and getting your blood pressure going!!

Yes it would be less stressful if you waited for final score because you will have bases loaded no outs a ton of times during the year where the team you bet on doesn't score

USually evens out D.

Check out this sequence in the 'Natti game.

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width=560 border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=yspplaytext>- S. Hatteberg walked </TD></TR><TR><TD class=yspplaytext>- R. Freel grounded into fielder's choice, S. Hatteberg out at second
(this was a sac. bunt attempt)

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=yspplaytext>- S. Eyre relieved S. Williamson </TD></TR><TR><TD class=yspplaytext>- J. Hairston Jr. at second </TD></TR><TR><TD class=yspplaytext>- R. Freel stole second, R. Freel to third on M. Barrett's throwing error </TD></TR><TR><TD class=yspscoretext>- F. Lopez grounded out to shortstop, R. Freel scored</TD></TR><TR><TD class=yspplaytext>- K. Griffey Jr. grounded out to shortstop </TD></TR><TR><TD class=yspplaytext>- End of Inning (1 Run, 0 Hits, 1 Error) </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

When Freel layed that bunt down directly to Lee, I was bitching up a storm as this is the bottom of the 8th and likely my last chance to cover 'Natti -1.5. Turns out.....had the sacrifice been successful, my insurance run never crosses the plate.

I had the over and no doubt you are talking about the dropped foul ball by the catcher, only to see D Lee hit a 2-run HR two pitches later to go over.
