to improve your game would you take steroids if you were fairly certain it would not be detected? Lets assume you are a budding professional on your way to the majors.

no, because I know the consequences of what will happen to me 20 years from now. The struggling later in life isn't worth instant gratification.

if i knew i wouldn't get caught, of course!

you guys would be amazed if you knew how many "regular" people are on steroid nowadays in the u.s.

i did a cycle of Deca a few years back when i was deployed to the middle east. we had a squadron of marines get assigned to our air base and half those jarheads were on 'roids...

once we got cool with some of them, they taught us all about the stuff (you can get really good roids in kuwait). that really opened my eyes to things.

it's not just athletes too...i've got a lot of friends who are cops, and a LOT of their buddies (other cops) are on steroids too. they have to be. a lot of the criminals are on them...have you seen some of the dudes that get arrested nowadays??? if i were a cop, i'd be on roids without a doubt.

our "gym" and "workout" culture is so advanced in the states, that steroids are here to stay. and they're only going to become prevalent in sports...not less.

i'm one of the few guys that DON'T consider it cheating (aside from the fact, it's still illegal). we should just legalize steroids. used properly, they're not very harmful. the problem is, 90% of the people who take them aren't educated enough about them and ABUSE them...

but that's how everything is...alcohol, recreational drugs, etc.

i dont blame Bonds/McGuire at all

I blame MLB for not enforcing the penalties

They loved seeing the longball taking off...its was bringing ratings/fans!

If i was a player, and i fall behind in stats due to other players gaining an advantage by breaking rules that werent enforced, then id be stupid not to do the same as well

i think its bad for the record books and hall of fame....but thats the commissioner of MLB's fault....not the players

The thing is there was no penalty in MLB...while steroids were illegal they was no rule in MLB until a couple years ago.

Steroids, under the supervision of a doctor, are safer than almost any prescription available today. Many doctors offer hormonal therapy. Steroids have a horrible stigma associated with them, mostly undeserved. I am referring to the dangerous/ medical stigma. Abuse of any prescription drug is always dangerous.

Boy the media has everyone warped over the dangers of juice - there is basically no long term ill effects if you use some basic judgment - if you use year round and abuse steroids you run into complications.

I hardly ever take aspririn. Only drugs that go into this body are caffeine, nicotine and very rarely some alcohol.

Let's see...I've smoked pot, drank to excess, done speed, dropped acid, snorted coke, tried heroin and meth, smoked hash, smoked opium, snorted a good variety of pain killers.............so yeah, I might be tempted.

But only if I wouldn't get that disease part and it would enhance my golf game.
