Are posters whom enter contests but don't necessarily "bring" what is considered "valuable contributions" to the site, any less a poster?

I've noticed a few comments here and there concerning posters that do not post their picks or give analysis of games, whom don't bet as much as others or do not have active accounts with certain books, etc.

Just curious:grandmais

I think posters that enter contests are a great part of the community.

Some have more of a knack for contests, Chriscol, Panther, Kermit, Fishhead, GI Joe, PO69 even...are some real good contest players there.

I think it would be nice if these posters contributed to sports talk once in a while & rest assured their comments & contributions would be welcome & well received...

I know a site with over 2500 members where 2400 of them only post for contest and freerolls. The place is a ghost town.

I think posters should do alittle more than just enter contest.

You would HOPE so... but in reality not everyone is comfortable or ready to have to defend their picks and analysis'...not everyone's as nice as you SS:puppy:

Some people are chatty, others aren't. Some come in here swinging big wood & others sit quietly in the shadows.

Rx offers different things to different people. Of course, we'd love to see everyone become an active poster, but that's just idealistic thinking.

It's all good. We try to keep the atmosphere as inviting as possible for the newbies and are open to any suggestions for anyone who may feel intimidated or overwise leary of contributing.
