Wednesday: 4-1, +3.13 units
ytd: 7-7, +.05 units

1 unit:

Seattle +103...Meche vs. Loiaiza. Esteban had a solid campaign with the Nats but still don't think this warrants being favored in an away matchup with another solid pitcher in Meche. Offspeed stuff looking good apparently in the offseason. Like the Mariners' lineup and chances at home.

adding:

1 unit:

Baltimore -162...Most of the Rays haven't seen Benson before, and he's got a stronger lineup that should give him more support than NYM did last year. allowed 3 runs or fewer in 19 starts last year, pretty impressive. Most of the O's have seen Hendrickson and have hit him fairly hard, including their big bats Javy and Tejada.

1/2 unit:

Washingtion +200...Worth at least a half unit. Pedro looked AWFUL in a couple of his spring starts, his fastball had no giddyup, offspeed was hanging over the plate, honestly i was appalled when i saw him vs. STL in spring training. Hoping it carries over here vs. the Nats.

Like your analysis on some of those plays.

On a side, don't look too much into spring training, in terms of pitchers. Yeah hold some weight. But, they are just out there getting their work. They all cut back on velocity, and just work on getting their delivery down and back throwing strikes again. I think you'll see some more velocity out of Pedro today, and some sharper off-speed stuff. Not mid-season form of course, but ...you get my drift.

Regardless of that, still value with the Nationals today. So I agree with the pick.

How we do it? Like this...get crunk...big big big big big

Good Luck today D

hahaha this is the youngbloodz fan club i swear

agree with not putting too much stock in the spring training, but i def. look at the pitchers' last game out. specially for some of these younger guys who can't afford to take the games lightly. Bottom line, all pitchers get to work on their stuff. Pedro's stuff really looked shitty against STl. Then again, it's Pedro, so he's liable to pitch a shutout tonight.
