Went 2-1 with a trio of short favorites Wednesday. We'll come back with two sides today:
(1) Colorado (Francis) minus 1.16 over Arizona (Batista) (2 Units) _ Coors Field is a nightmarish park for most pitchers, but young Rockie lefthander Jeff Francis has found the thin air to his liking, having posted a 10-4 career record there with a "miniscule" (by Coors' standards) 4.61 ERA. Batista, by contrast, has a 23-47 lifetime road record and a 9.55 ERA in 27 1/3 IP in Denver.
(2) Detroit (Robertson) minus 1.08 over Texas (Dickey) (1 Unit) _ In two starts at Ameriquest Field, Detroit's Nate Robertson is 2-0 with a 0.57 ERA, having allowed just 1 earned run in 15 2/3 IP. Robertson has held the Ranger quartet of Texiera, Blalock, Young and Mench to a combined 11-of-60 (.183 BA) with a total of only five extra base hits.
YTD: 4-1 (plus 2.95 units).
