his wife is battling cancer .

right - but from what i have read it is NOT a battle she will 'win" and she isn't long for this world - sort of like Tiger's dad who is also living on borrowed time

you got it...losing your wife and the mother of your children is a major issue.

maybe it's just me, but does anyone else find it a bit strange that Clarke galavants around the world playing golf while his wife battles cancer? Just couldn't imagine myself doing this is I were in his shoes, especially when considering kids..etc. Granted, it's his job, but he's obviously financially set for life, unless he's a total moron with money.

believe i read somewhere SHE told him to keep playing and doing this. OK - so we can now debate if he should, or not, but she said..... i also think when it gets worse and her death is imminent he WILL take time off to be with her till the end - but right now - while she is dying i don't have too big a problem with it (and that would SUCK to be in her situation - KNOWING you will die soon - although my bro-in-law's bro is in a similar situation - about 3 years at most left). same with Tiger - when his father is on his "last legs" he, too, will take time off - and i have to think Earl Woods goes first - and as i said - highly doubt Earl sees 2007

If you go to his website in his "blog" he talks about being away for a week fishing with his friends in the bahamas (i think).....Kinda gives creedence to the quote above

Its hard to make a comment until you have walked a mile in his sweaty shoes, as World Number One can attest. Just pray to your god for all of em, esp the kid. This is my first post ever. Hi everyone.

The last thing a dying person wants is to be a burden. No need to call Clark a moron for doing what his dying wife wants him to do.
