Would just rather back prob. available pitchers for the Cubs
that include Maddux, Erye, Howry, and Dempster; rather
than the Cardinals Suppan, Ricon, and Looper. The Cubs
will be inserting Perez into the starting second baseman
position to help Maddux hopefully finish off more double
plays. Middle defense will be strong with Ronny Cedeno at
short-stop and Pierre eating up everything in centerfield.
While the Cubs Lee, Ramirez, and Jones power the Cubs to
runs and victory.

Maddux

G. Maddux seems to be very focused and confident with
his stuff heading into this season, recognizing and I quote;
"It's my free-agent year", said Maddux. Believe he will
be as good as he ever has been, looking ahead for that one
more big payday next season, a one year contract (maybe
two year deal), hoping to not only add some huge $$$$$,
to his already beautiful portfolio, but maybe even another
ring on his finger before heading off into the Hall of Fame.
It's all about the MONEY!!!!!

Is there any doubt

that this is going to be a money year for Maddux,
with that combination of smart pitching, defense,
offense, and bullpen............wow, very impressive...
