Derrek Lee has informed the Cubs that if an extension is not done by Saturday, talks won't resume until after the Season. Lee said," I just don't want to continue to worry about it and have to talk about it. That's the only reason for the deadline. Either way, I'm fine." Lee is expected to get a contract in the range of 13 to 14 million dollars a year.
i am a huge cards fan and these last couple of days were brutal. hate to lose to the cubs the cards could lose every game all year but win all of the games against the cubs and everything would be fine with me. really hate seeing dusty baker happy. they were lucky to get 2 runs today. they are locking up a good player in lee good luck to you and your cubs only when they are not playing the cards.
