......with runners on 2nd and 3rd for the reds, 3-0 count on the number 5 guy and one out, doesn't Int. walk him???

Aurilla tee-ed off on that pitch.

I don't know if you get the game, but Perez's fastball is only in the low 80's right now. To serve that up on 3-0 is suicide!

Also Dunn is batting behind Aurilla today for a reason. What you said in regard to his average. Dunn ended up striking out.

it was a hanging curve...and it was almost as gross as Jason Bays shot off the top of the wall...
now a line shot up the middle that stalled off of Harangs thigh so he could throw him out...

Pirates are cursed

Score is 3-2. A 3-1 pitch served up the other way. :lolBIG:

yeah i get the game. do you? just so you know that was a CURVEBALL that aurilia hit not a FASTBALL. that was the mistake, he threw the wrong pitch.

i feel your pain, im on the pirates today too, but dont take a shot at me when you dont even know the difference between a curveball and a fastball. and yes, if you know the game thats the very reason dunn is batting behind him, so teams cant walk him when the top of the order is in scoring position.

dont sweat it man, 3 run lead aint crap in great american ballpark..pirates still probably win this late if perez can settle down and quit falling behind batters

gotcha:) while typing , harang has done his part to give the lead back. i still feel good about the pirates , perez dominates the reds historically. he should k 8+ if he pitches 6+

It's easy to have hindisght but I think it was a poor decision. The second they stole 2nd and 3rd and the count was already 3-0 to Aurilia I didn't think there was any chance that he was going to pitch to him. Then when I see that he is going to pitch to him I figured that he might throw him something off the plate to see if he might chase it. Bam he throws a crappy curve ball and it is deposited into the left field bleachers.

Poor decision

Jose Castillo is going to be a stud. Dude is already a gold glove calibre 2nd baseman and he keeps getting better as a hitter. Love how he sits back on the ball and hits the other way with power. He has the potential to be a .290 25 HR type guy if he stays healthy this year

PKJ,

You are dead on about Jose Castillo. He is going to be a very quality ballplayer. I think Freddy Sanchez is also going to be a solid player.

How does somebody lose so much velocity? Just 2 seasons ago Perez was throwing in the mid to high 90's. Now he's doing good to hit 90. And on top of that he can't throw a strike. Same problems he had last year
