Things have continued to be consistent over the last few days, and throughout this first week of the season. Today was definitely no different. The lines being posted by the books are still very encouraging, and it looks like their will be continuous value throughout the month of April. Here are the results thus far:
Today: 3-1 +2.47 Units (Based on only 1 unit for every bet)
YTD: 24-17 +7.73 Units (Based on only 1 unit for every bet)
Sunday's card boasts plenty of value as well, and here are the best bets:
Arizona +153 Milwaukee
Arizona-Milwaukee OVER 8.5 (+109)
Minnesota -111 Cleveland
The Tribe have been on quite a roll since their Opening Day loss to the White Sox. However, nobody stops a streak better than the best pitcher in baseball....Johan Santana. Mr. Santana has fared very well against the Indians recently, and the Twins bats will wake up knowing that their ace is on the hill.
Oakland -128 Seattle
Pittsburgh +132 Cincinnati
The Pirates are simply not as bad as they have started (0-6). They're not going to compete for a playoff spot or anything crazy like that, but they are a decent team. I like their chances for getting their first win in this one.
ChiCubs +117 St. Louis
The Cubs will go for a sweep in this ESPN Sunday night matchup. The Cubs actually have played very well against the Cards and have won 13 of the last 20 in the series. The Cubs throw rookie Sean Marshall out there, but the Cards can only counter with a damaged Sidney Ponson. Cubs are playing very well, and I see them taking care of business once again.
Florida-NY Mets OVER 7.5 (+101)
I liked this play on Saturday, but we obviously didn't get to see it because of the rain. I like it even more now, because the pitchers are off of their routine being pushed a day back.
These are my initial 7 plays, and I will be adding 1 or 2 tomorrow morning as usual. Good luck to all.
