Probably an advertisement on The LV Strip

SS, do u mean which type of gambler would i target...?

B/C I have heard that the most profitable bettors are the 25-50$ player who plays NFL games with his buddies 1x/week. can someone "in the know" confirm this???

I probably would not target all the sharp bonus-whores on the rx...:missingte

I blow the entire 150K on an advertisement on the Las Vegas Strip or on the highway next to it

If I had a very vanilla sportsbook with 500 punters, firstly I would fall down on my knees and thank God and secondly, use any marketing money in making sure these mugs dont go somewhere else( give them plenty of freebies) :drink:

id send them something small every month

coffee mug, hat, visor, pen, maybe some tshirt of their favorite team etc

i think if i received something monthly i would remain loyal - as the thought that counts

dont need calenders books etc abt the games thats what internet is for.

maybe another giveaway give them the mlb.com access to all baseball games for the season (live tv streamed over net) - its 14.95 a month or 70 for the season i think - that would be something for those out of market games

you cant do it for nba but something like that would be appreciated.

I understand, My answer is if you have 500 punters on your books when your not a specifically good one ( EG Vanilla) then they must be squares. So my argument would be use all resources in making sure you hold on to them. Never underestimate the personal touch when it comes to losers, the big boys dont have time.:drink:

2 more ideas of diff variety for us customers

1. tivo and the lifetime subscription for higher level of the 500 customers

2. free netflix subscription with 3 dvd at a time while they remain active with you (17.99 a month)

Give BB 2.5k he makes it 20k within 3 months 99out

I'd spend it on advertisting to get 500 more new customers. No matter how good you are to your 500 current cutomers, you are going to lose a lot of them (if at least for a little while because of mounting losses).

150K buys alot of Adult Stars wearing your logo...

winbet had a good point about retention but how would u go about acquiring new punters?

There is no way you could compete with the likes of BoDog's budget with your measly 150K?

How about buying up skimpy photos of adultstars wearing vanillasportsbook hats and scarves?:thumbsup2:

I would pump serious $$$ into my affiliate program. Then I would throw a big bash once a year and get all kinds of celebs in to mingle with my affiliates.

I dont know how many of you have been in the game, but the point I'm trying to put across is, if this book is what it calls itself then these 500 punters are no sharps, therefore they need to be made feel important. Word of mouth is much bigger than advertising and you only have to read the crap on here to see how loyal some losers are to their books. As for they cannot keep losing, believe me, its incredible how they keep pulling it out. :drink:

you raise a good poing though winbet.....

an important factor is are these 500 ACTIVE ACCOUNTS or are these 500 registered accounts with 400 of them being dormant.....

if it is the latter, then the first order of business is taking care of those 100 punters & then going from there....

I would wait until football season and run three types of contests. I would have an NFL type similar to Stations Casinos with no point spread involved. I would have a college type contest selecting 15 games ATS. My third contest would be a season long Hilton type contest for low rollers....no more than a hundred bucks entry fee.

This would bring a lot of players to your book to enter the contests from Friday through Sunday, and hopefully they'd like my book enough to continue playing there throughout the whole season!

HMMM 500 customers in the baseball is HUGE !!

Next are those 500 ALL squares? Whats the total handle in any given day?
the list of questions is endless.

Import English speaking clerks, first off.

STOP moveing on AIR, like they are probably doing.

Wait for the smoke to clear before hanging up numbers. Hopefully they will not get pounded, and stand up.

Hope that most of the 500 are chalk baseball players. ( That would be SWEET)

Talk to each of the players an try to get those to recruit more players, insted of spening ALL that money on advertiseing.

Just deal with what ya got and HOPE for a BIG football season as thats where its at anyway. Hopefully DONT lose the BR fooling around with the baseball.
