I just purchased a 19" flat screen computer monitor. The one thing that I noticed is that it is a lot brighter than the last monitor that I had. Was wondering if there was a dark film that you could put over the screen to reduce the brightness a la a big screen tv....that reduces glare.....I have messed with the brightness and contrast on the settings and cant seem to find one that I like......anyone have any leads or ideas....Thanks.

There are films and attachments that slip over monitors to eliminate glare and also so that you can only see them from the direct front. Usually used in libraries and such so people can't easily peer on other peoples' activity

Check office supply stores, they're pretty common and not too expensive...

Excellent choice. Instead of a cover, just adjust the contrast & brightness to levels that you like.

No way you should need a film or cover.

I agree. And had the same issue. I'm still in awe of my LCD.

Actually I have a button on the panel which sets it to economy, text or picture mode. And Economy which is most dim, is just fine for everything.
