New York Yankees -2.5 +135 (Oly) .. Risk 4 units to win 5.4 units
New York Yankees Team Total Over 5.5 -120 (Oly) .. Risk 4.8 units to win 4 units.
New York Yankees -0.5 1st Half -155 (Pinnacle) .. 6.2 units to win 4 units.
Joe Mays is finished people. He hasn't had a decent year since his 2001 miracle season with Minnesota. He missed 2004 to Tommy John surgery after a 6.30 ERA/1.52 WHIP 2003 campaign.
Mays started last year pretty well actually coming off his surgery. (4.13/1.40 Pre-Break).. But after that he went 8.22 ERA, 1.84 WHIP, .351 BAA!! Minnesota cut ties with the damaged goods and he ends up on the minor league baseball team we lovingly refer to as the Kansas City Royals.
He got smoked in the preseason for a 6.14 ERA.. He got rocked by the Tigers for 8 H, 6 ER, 2 HR in 4 1/3 in the Royals opener. Stick a fork in this guy. His sinker ball is dead and he has nothing else to back it up. Career 0-4, 6.45 ERA, 1.61 WHIP, .295 BAA in Yankees Stadium and probably facing the most formidable lineup out of all the Yankee teams he's faced.
Yankees send Chien-Ming Wang to the mound. Wang had very solid 2005 MLB debut with 4.02 ERA/1.25 WHIP/.256 BAA, and the 26 year old will be looking to build on that after a decent outing vs a very potent Oakland lineup. Wang saved his best ball for Yankee Stadium last year (3.55/1.20/.250) as well as in Day Games (1.86 ERA/0.93/.214 BAA in 4 day starts). Kansas City's best hitters (Grudzielanek, Brown, Sanders, Buck, Berroa) all bat from the right side and may spell big trouble for the Royals offense.
The Yankees haven't tasted victory the past few season.. I think they are hungry this year and return to the top. They have too much talent not to win 100, if not 110 games this year.
Yankees crush this ham and egger and put up another double digit spot on the board.
