Just wanted to congratulate all REDS, ROCKIES and METS fans for winning there division. 1 week is all you need to determine how the rest of the year is going to go.
The Mets really had an outstanding year this season finishing 134-28(the best record in the history of baseball. How do I know that? Its very simple. We have played a whole week of the baseball season and they are 5-1. If you project that out over 162 games thats 134-28.
I would also like to congratulate Ramon Hernandez for winning the batting title at an outstanding .632 clip. Ted Williams never had anything on this guy. I know its only 1 week but if hes hitting .632 now, there is no reason to believe he wont countinue that the rest of the season.
Congrats to Edger Renteria for his 162 game hitting streak. He has a hit in every game this year. Surely that means he will countinue to get at least one hit every game the rest of the season. Joe D only wishes he had the consistancy of Edger.
Its amazing how much we learn in just on week of baseball
Kudos to Cris Shelton for hitting 148 homers this season. And to think that we all thought that the homers would stop after MLB instituted the new steriod policy.
