well just saw on the local detroit news that the ex red wing darren mccartney(sp??) has filed for bankruptcy,.....wow seemed like a really cool, down to earth regular guy,......hope he can get things turned around,...........didnt catch all the figures but i think they said he was like 6 million in debt,...most to local detroit casinos,................well just never would have expected it unless i herd it for myself on the news,......dang the guy even did a bunch for all the local charities here,etc,..............i guess that hockey strike really caught up to him,..........well anyhow thats what was reported here in the detroit area,....hope he gets things straightened out,...............i couldnt imagine being on the hook for 6 million,.....i aint the sharpest tool in the shed, but with what i make,.........i sure hope i realize the problem before i get to the 6 million mark,....ouch!!:modemman:
hey fishy,...yeah i saw the news report again,.....you know how the morning news is,.....they got like 4-5 stories that they keep reporting over and over again,...anyhow,....yeah 6 million,.......they said he played here in detroit for 11 seasons,..........hes one of them guys who just seems like a good hard working type and i just never would have thought he would get in debt like that,............could you imagine being at the end of your carrer playing professional hockey and 6 million in debt,...........man i bet he wishes he had a time machine to go back in:nohead:
