yesterdays baltimore/tampa game was supposed to be benson/hendrickson say the line opens at balt -113 and you risk 113/100 for action and a few hours later hendrickson gets scratched and some kid from triple A is called up and the line is now balt -130.

since the bet was alraeady placed for action at -113 and it won, do books always give you the adjusted price?

so one would actually win 87 on the adjusted change instead of the full 100????????? sound right:icon_conf

for action means you getr what you bet, the line could go up or down with new pitchers but you get the line you bet at. so -113

Wait, let me rephrase that....If you bet -113 to win 100, and the line changes to -130, your bet is now -113 to win whatever it is adjusted to, like 85 or whatever it would be.

You get whatever they open it at, a book can pick the number that best fits the action bets they have, leave it for a minute, then adjust it to market, no reason to play action.

so if I bet 113 to win 100

then pitcher changes and now line is -130

what happens now, sorry doesn't make much sense to me. thanks. I always play Listed pitchers.

that is how it works.....If its a fav and the fav number moves higher, you get your original risk amount at the new opening line to win a smaller amount....Works the same way for the dog.....using your example....You laid -113 to win 100 on Balti....If a pitch changed happened and now Balti is +120 you would have 113 to win $135....

Your bet is still -113 but the payout would be less than 100, since the new odds are -130 to win 100.

how can your odds still be -113 if your payout on a 113$ bet be less then 100$. Wouldn't your odds now be like H.O.W said -130?

He means the dollar amount risked would still be $113, but the new line that you would be given would be -130, so the amount won would be $113/1.30 = $86.92 (if the bet wins).

Thought I was to be paid $200, but called in and they told me that even though the bet was action there was a pitching change and the payout was therefore adjusted. Figured action was action and when the bet is placed and confirmed it no longer matters. Makes sense I suppose, wanted to make sure I was getting a fair shake.

never understood why anyone plays action unless, they just want to have something on the game.

They gave you a worse adjusted line than -130 on the first bet, since they paid you slightly less than should have been paid if they were using a -130 adjusted line ($83.70 vs $86.92) .... looks like they gave you an adjusted line of -135.
