Personally, I've never even heard of Stirnweiss, 2nd baseman who hit .309 in 1945.

By the way, Dimaggio was the only 2 timer, in '39 and '40.

If it means anything I had no idea who Stirnweiss is either, I called my friend who is a die hard yankee fan who told me that he won a title. The rest I knew however.
