I, as some of you may know, am a Philly local and Phillies fan. I watched Thome for a few years, which I would sum up his performance as below expectations and really struggled in clutch situations...all in all, most fans here would agree his career was on the down side and his ability to be the hitter he once was, is all but over.....Until....

He arrived in Chicago....who is this guy, 6 homers already, and I heaard the guys talking about how he had6 or so in the last few games of spring training...talking about seeint the baseball as a beach ball, he is blowing up!!! I am happy as hell for him, he was always a class act here and I hope he has a career year at the plate!!

good luck Jim!!

I'm happy for him too, one of the best guys in the game.
Glad to see you aren't still bitter about his performance in Philly, although he carried that team for a while, specially when Burrell wasn't doing a damned thing for a whole year.

Too bad i didn't take the chisox game today. glad u did, nice work
