This Mets team is unbelievable thus far.....

Well, they've played 6 out of there 8 games against the nationals, so their actual performance as a team is a little skewed. But get this

1st inning:

batting 3rd: Beltran hits a homer
batting 4th: Delgado singles
batting 5th: Wright homers
batting 6th: Floyd Homers

3rd inning:

batting 4th: Delgado homers.

and they're batting .407 through the 6th inning. Freakin' impressive team.

Again, maybe the Nationals just plain suck, but these stats are impressive. Us Mets fans haven't seen a team like this in decades. GO METS

Read the 1st sentence in your 1st and last paragraph. Let them play a couple tougher teams before you get too hyped.

Their entire schedule so far consists of playing the Marlins and the Nationals, the two teams that are destined to end up bottom-feeding in the NL East at the end of the season and are arguably two of the worst teams in the league this year.

Not to mention this is their first away series...I think you're getting a good look at what the Mets are CAPABLE of if playing under the best circumstances, but wait until they start playing more road series, road series back to back and against decent teams. They'll come down to earth.

First season in over a decade that they have real competition in their division

They should thank the Mets for ending their run of playoff embarrasement

At least the Braves won't be considered playoff chokers in 2006
