A few Weeks ago I remarked that Live betting was a recipe for disaster with anything other than exchanges. After tracking Bet365 live betting tonight in a Baseball game, I must retract my opinion. I was surprised to see how keen their odds were and although giving no great steals( thats a baseball word I've learnt) I'm sure there's room for real game knowledge lurkers to nick a price.
Probably because Baseball is so slow, the books can give realistic prices but a fast moving game like Basketball will more than likely have a bigger books margin. The main thing to remember is the Books have the same middle of the road stats, leans, trends as the punter, and like any form of betting long term, you need to have an angle the Books have difficulty putting into their prices. Once you have that angle, convert it to a value and incorporate it into the bookmakers price, then act accordingly.:drink:
