I am just curious to what people will say if you are a die hard fan of a team. You know the ones that if your team losses that you are in a bad mood until they win.

As a gambler and you know your team the best you are able to spot their weaknesses even more than other teams Can you pull the trigger and bet against them?

I personally have quite some time to have to worry about this again till football season but I have to fight with myself when I see value against my team and I just can't bet against the Vikings. I love watching them and I love my wallet to get bigger and I can't ruin my Sunday either way.

Just a thought

Team? Can you bet against them?

I do bet against the Habs a handful of times each season when the line seems to be out of whack. Only 0.5-1 unit plays though, small enough that I'm still rooting for them. The money comes as a consolation prize if they lose.

Last year I played against Florida when they played Alabama, Georgia, S Carolina, and Vandy. Played on Florida when they played F$U and Iowa. Won them ALL. The ONLY thing I will NOT do is bet on F$U against Florida. I will NEVER go to the DARKSIDE! LT:103631605

You bet 2 dimes against your time and your team win. You lose 2 dimes.
Are you much happier now that you lost 2 dimes, but your favorite won?

I am a diehard NY Giants fan. I used to live and die with how they did on any given Sunday. Well I've gotten over that part of my life, and nowadays I can bet against them as fast as bet on them. Really was a tough thing to do, but as I started some serious NFL gambling, I felt the greenbacks in my pocket when I bet against them and they didn't cover was consolation enough!

LOL Coach LT I see our dark sides are just the opposite.

Freebie

That is exactly what I try to avoid. Because the money is more important but it is just too Hard for me to pull the trigger.

Very true. I know that I will too let this go one day.

But I also just have that bad feeling that when I do bet against them they will step up and crush the other team 49-0 just to rub it in.

Until the Steelers, Os, and Knicks send me a paycheck, I will bet against them when I like the bet.

Depends on the sport.. in MLB yes for the first 130 or so games of the season, it's a long season and a loss here or there is gonna happen anyhow..

love the Redskins, Nationals, Orioles, Capitals, etc. all the "local" teams.
Would never bet against the 'Skins.
It's a little easier to bet against Nats/O's b/c
1) season is so long
2) later in the year they both probably are out of the playoff hunt
3) so many games, ,not as big a deal betting against em
